  • Your picture is blurred, distorted, overexposed, underexposed or pixelated.
  • Use computer software or mobile phone apps to alter the original photo.
  • Your features are blocked by hair, mask, etc.
  • Look at the other side or lower your head.

What Posture Should I Have When Taking Singaporean ID Card Pictures?

The Singaporean ID Card image will accompany you for many years, so you can make yourself look better in the photo. Posture is one of the key parts of taking photos. Here we will share some tips about striking a pose with you. Just follow us and remember to practice more before shooting.

  • Your ID Card photo needs to show you directly looking at the camera with a neutral expression, but it doesn't mean that you have to present a grim or glazed expression. Instead, you should relax your facial muscles and make your eyes bright and focused.
  • You should sit up or stand straight and roll your shoulders back to elongate the look of your neck.
  • Don't lift your chin upwards, because it will make you look like you have a double chin in the photograph. To avoid this, you should thrust your chin forward an inch or so and tuck your chin in slightly.
  • Straighten your back and keep confident during the whole process.

Do you think taking pictures in photo booths or photo studios is inconvenient and expensive? If you do, there is a way to save your energy and money! Why not try taking photographs at home? You definitely can snap your identity card photos at home! Here are some tips for you.

  • Prepare a smartphone or a digital camera. A tripod will be great to fix the camera.

  • Stand one meter away from the white wall and 1.5-3 meters away from the camera.
  • Adjust the position to find the best combination of lighting and angle.
  • Pose as what is mentioned above and relax.
