If you are going to start your journey in China, this blog post will help you learn the requirements for Singaporeans entering China, the information on the visa-exemption policy, and how to extend your stay in China.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Do Singaporeans Need a Visa to China?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective February 9th, 2024, Singaporean passport holders will no longer require a visa to travel to China for up to <strong>30 days<\/strong>. The same rules apply to Individuals who hold ordinary passports issued by the People\u2019s Republic of China (PRC). Because e-payment is popular everywhere in China, you can buy a China SIM card to have a Chinese number so that you can finish your mobile payment setup.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Special Cards for China Visa-free Entry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If&nbsp;Singapore&nbsp;citizens&nbsp;hold&nbsp;the&nbsp;following&nbsp;special&nbsp;cards,&nbsp;they&nbsp;can&nbsp;travel&nbsp;to&nbsp;China&nbsp;without a visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>APEC Business Travel Card holders&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals who hold an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aipassportphotos.com\/blog\/apec-card-application\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">APEC business travel card<\/a> have the right to enter China for business multiple times during the valid period. The duration is up to 60 days each time. Please note that although the US and Canada provide ABTC, they only offer expedited immigration procedures and do not have reciprocal entry arrangements. Therefore, ABTC holders from the US or Canada cannot enter China visa-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the applicants must be willing to travel within APEC economics and do not have any criminal records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>China Permanent Residence Card<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals holding permanent residence cards in China are not required to apply for a visa when traveling to the Country. Tier 1 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou have different requirements for applying for a permanent residence card in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Residence Permit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Foreign nationals who have obtained residence permits issued by the Chinese public security authorities to work or study in China may enter and leave the country at will during the validity period of the residence permit. Please refer to the following regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hong\u00a0Kong\u00a0SAR\u00a0Visa\u00a0Free<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) visa-free policy varies by nationality, and the duration of stay is different accordingly. The duration in HK lasts from 7 to 180 days. Singaporeans\u00a0are\u00a0allowed\u00a0to\u00a0stay\u00a0in\u00a0HK\u00a0for\u00a0up\u00a0to\u00a090\u00a0days. It is important to know that visa-free entry to HK is limited to tourism,\u00a0business,\u00a0conference\u00a0attendance, artistic, cultural,\u00a0or\u00a0sporting\u00a0events,\u00a0and\u00a0visiting friends and family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Macau\u00a0SAR\u00a0Visa\u00a0Free<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0Macau\u00a0Immigration\u00a0Department\u00a0has\u00a0allowed\u00a0citizens\u00a0from\u00a079\u00a0foreign\u00a0countries\u00a0(regions)\u00a0to travel\u00a0and\u00a0conduct\u00a0business\u00a0events without\u00a0a\u00a0visa.\u00a0However, the\u00a0length\u00a0of\u00a0time\u00a0you\u00a0can\u00a0stay\u00a0depends\u00a0on\u00a0your\u00a0nationality. This will make international travel easier and more flexible. Once they arrive in Hainan, they will obtain a Temporary\u00a0Entry\u00a0Permit for a shot visit without a visa.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"704\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aipassportphotos.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-475.png\" alt=\"hainan\" class=\"wp-image-6174\" style=\"width:700px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aipassportphotos.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-475.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.aipassportphotos.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-475-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/www.aipassportphotos.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-475-768x528.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Singapore&nbsp;is&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Asian&nbsp;countries&nbsp;that are&nbsp;allowed&nbsp;to&nbsp;stay&nbsp;in&nbsp;Hainan&nbsp;visa-free&nbsp;for&nbsp;30&nbsp;days of maximum.&nbsp;However,&nbsp;you&nbsp;must&nbsp;meet&nbsp;the&nbsp;following&nbsp;requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A valid ordinary passport from one of the 59 countries is a requirement for aliens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon arrival in Hainan, visitors can preregister through local travel agencies or register at the port.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel-related improvements, including round-trip air tickets, hotel reservations, travel schedules in Hainan, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors must directly fly to Hainan from other countries or regions\u00a0 (transit via Hong Kong and Macau is allowed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors must travel to Hainan via ports in Sanya, Haikou, or other open ports on the island.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreigners must follow the rules of movement within the administrative region of Hainan Province within 30 days after entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visa-free\u00a0Group\u00a0Tour\u00a0of\u00a0ASEAN\u00a0Nationals\u00a0to\u00a0Guilin\u00a0for\u00a06\u00a0Days<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting May 28th, 2019, Guilin carried out a 6-day (144-hour) Visa-Free policy for tourists from ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) groups.
